“Seeing my son’s face on the boat! His eyes wide open! He is visually impaired, technically legally blind so it is rare to catch his eyes open so much. He is disabled, uses a wheelchair and multiple medical devices. It was his first time on a boat and his first-time fishing. He loved the boat, and he caught nineteen fish with mom and dad’s help. We loved it so much. Best day ever!” – Parent of Participant, Lake Monroe
“I enjoy seeing the kids’ faces coming back from fishing and then again after receiving their award. A very rewarding feeling.” – Shore Volunteer, Lake Monroe
This is a C.A.S.T. for Kids event designed to provide children with disabilities, ages 6 – 18, the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Take to the water with C.A.S.T. for an unforgettable morning of fishing and boating!
