2018 Event Recap
Saturday, August 18 brought 28 Children and 20 Boat captains together for yet another amazing C.A.S.T. For Kids at Black Canyon reservoir in Emmett Idaho. The weather was chamber of Commerce perfect for all of those who attended. Chris and Stacey Rambough took over the coordination of this event for 2018. They picked up right where long time coordinator Erica Lopez left off. Super organized, well run event which showered the children with love. It took 2 adult men to read-and get through the emotional letter that Erica left for us to read to the children and families in her absence. Erica Lopez……. much respect and admiration to you. Many of the children had very successful days fishing. Small-mouth bass and yellow perch seemed to be the majority of the catches. Another interesting observation was that it seemed almost every girl participant caught fish, while the men and boys struggled. GIRL POWER! We are ready for 2019. Third Saturday of August. Be there or be square!

Smallmouth bass were the predominant fish caught by the children as smiles were everywhere thanks to the 39 dedicated volunteers who came out to bless the children. Thanks to the Bureau of Reclamation and it’s staff for allowing the children to enjoy this special day. See you all in 2018 for more fun!
