“Our participant had never been in a boat or fished before. Her mother was in the boat and said her daughter did things she would have never tried before. Not only did she catch a nice bass, the captain asked if she wanted to drive the boat and she said yes. Her mother was overwhelmed with emotion. All of us who fish have a responsibility to reach out to young people no matter their emotional or physical challenges. Ask to take them fishing! My life is changed and I am HOOKED ON C.A.S.T for KIDS.” – Boat Captain, Lake Lanier

“This event gave us access to a boat, a captain and a first mate who helped teach my son how to fish. As a single parent, having extra adults there was critical to help my son when he became overwhelmed or frustrated. Even if I could afford it, I would be afraid of taking him on a boat by myself, because there are so many safety factors to consider. It would be impossible to operate the boat and keep him safe all by myself. ” Parent of Participant, Lake Lanier

This is a C.A.S.T. for Kids event designed to provide children with disabilities, ages 6-18, the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Take to the water with C.A.S.T. for an unforgettable morning of fishing and boating!
