“Given the tools and right instruction, like at the C.A.S.T. event in Harlem, my child was able to do something he never had before.” – Parent, Harlem Meer

This is a C.A.S.T. for Kids event designed to provide children with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Not all locations are conducive to hosting boating events. This event gives participants the opportunity to fish from shore.

“Yahaira had a wonderful morning with her volunteer, Ted.  In the very beginning Yahaira set her own goal to catch 10 fish!  She did meet her goal and in every moment – Ted celebrated with her!  Yahaira even happened to fall waist into the Harlem Meer and seemed to be the highlight of her morning (besides reaching her goal)!  She was extremely content in receiving her plaque from C.A.S.T for Kids Foundation and we are extremely proud of her!  Thank you!!” – Parent of Participant, Harlem Meer

“Thank you for the lovely day and experience. Your volunteers are wonderful.”- Parent of Participant, Harlem Meer

“Really great to share our love of fishing with others. Great for kids and teenagers to get involved and share the love of fishing.” – Fishing Coach, Harlem Meer
