“Given the tools and right instruction, like at the C.A.S.T. event in Harlem, my child was able to do something he never had before.” – Parent, Harlem Meer

This is a C.A.S.T. for Kids event designed to provide children with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Not all locations are conducive to hosting boating events. This event gives participants the opportunity to fish from shore.

2017 Event Recap

This was the second event on Harlem Meer and with a new coordinator, high school student Morgan Krell and his family.  19 children participated this year, several had attended the year before and were very excited to attend the event again.  We are hoping to help make this event a larger one with more kids, we tried to get 30 children which would probably be a maximum for this event site.
