2017 Event Recap

The annual Foss Waterway event was a huge success with beautiful sunny weather in the mid-70s to welcome the 19 participants who were able to enjoy a fun, fish-filled day. The participants caught a variety of fish, returning to shore with stories to share and smiles spread across their faces. One participant even caught a salmon that she proudly showed off at the awards ceremony. Families enjoyed a barbeque lunch with chips and fruit and everyone left with full bellies and full hearts after a memorable day on the Tacoma waterfront.

2016 Event Recap

Thanks to the Puget Sound Anglers – Gig Harbor Chapter for gathering boaters to take out these special kids – who caught crab, flounder, and dogfish! Another yummy lunch provided by the Greater Tacoma Kiwanis Club while our Executive Director Jay Yelas interviewed the kids about their fishing trip during the awards ceremony. Some great stories were told, leaving us all looking forward to next year!
