2017 Event Recap
A huge turnout of 43 participants made the day super fun. Most kids caught fish right off the Marina docks, including catfish, bass, stripers, and perch. The boaters took turns taking the children boating, and all kids got to ride on a boat. Lots of tasty treats were on hand for everyone’s enjoyment. The coordinator cooked hot dogs for lunch.
2016 Event Recap
The United States Bureau of Reclamation and Lago Rico Marinas hosted yet another wonderful C.A.S.T.for Kids event in 2016. High winds prevented the children from going out in boats to fish on this day. Luckily, the Lago Rico marinas were teaming with Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, and Crappie. Every single one of the 17 children who attended were able to catch fish. Our goal of every event we host is that every child is able to feel the thrill of catching a fish.
After our lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs, the children were extremely excited to receive their plaques with photos. Please come out and help us support the children of the Truth or Consequences New Mexico area when we host start 2017 event.
